Bantock Park - Proposed Pathway Improvements
Overview
We are proposing to undertake some improvements to the perimeter path in Bantock Park.
The section of path in question runs from the park entrance near York Avenue, directly inside the perimeter hedge, alongside Finchfield Rd. Although very popular with visitors, access has become difficult in wet weather due to waterlogging.
We are proposing to widen the path to 1.8 metres and resurface it with crushed stone. French drains will be constructed alongside the path to alleviate flooding and new trees will be planted to benefit the environment. (Full details are contained in the attached plan)
The necessary funds for the improvements have been provided through a planning agreement relating to the development of new residential properties in the locality.
