Bentley Bridge Retail and Leisure Park Public Space Protection Order

Overview

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking your views on proposals to introduce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) at Bentley Bridge Retail and Leisure Park.

The aim of the PSPO is to help prevent anti-social behaviour (ASB) and improve safety for visitors and businesses.

Under the proposed PSPO:

  • Police would be able to ask groups of three or more people to leave the area if they are suspected of causing, or likely to cause, ASB.
  • Police would be able to request the removal of face coverings where there is no reasonable excuse for wearing them (e.g., religious reasons or PPE requirements are considered reasonable excuses).

For full details of the proposal, including maps and legal wording, please see the supporting documents at the bottom of this page.

Please note the consultation closes at 11.59pm on 26 February 2026.
