PSPO

1. To what extent do you consider anti-social behaviour (ASB) to be a problem within Bentley Bridge Retail and Leisure Park?
(Required)
2. Do you think restrictions on large groups and the removal of face coverings without reasonable excuse would help reduce ASB in the area?
(Required)
3. The PSPO would allow Police to ask groups of three or more people to leave if they are suspected of causing, or likely to cause, ASB. Do you agree with this proposal?
(Required)
4. The PSPO would allow Police to request the removal of face coverings where there is no reasonable excuse for wearing them (e.g., religious reasons or PPE requirements are considered reasonable excuses). Do you agree with this proposal?

6. Do you agree with the proposed enforcement approach for people under 18 who breach the PSPO?

Proposed approach:

1st breach: Warning and education about the PSPO; information on positive diversionary activities

2nd breach: Further engagement and letter to parent/guardian

3rd breach: If behaviour continues after warnings and parental contact, the case goes to the police team that deals with anti-social behaviour.

Possible outcomes:

Restorative Justice: A process to repair harm, such as an apology or community work.

Injunction: A court order with strict rules (e.g., banning entry to certain areas). Breaching this can lead to arrest.

(Required)
7. Do you agree with the proposed enforcement approach for people aged 18 and over who breach the PSPO?

Proposed approach:

1st breach: Warning and education about the PSPO; diversionary activity if appropriate

2nd breach: Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) fine

3rd breach: Case-by-case assessment; possible injunction, Criminal Behaviour Order, or arrest if offence is criminal

Do you agree with this approach?

(Required)
8. Overall, do you support the proposals outlined in this consultation?
(Required)
9. Do you think these proposals could have a positive or negative impact on any particular group of people? Please explain.
