Stay Safe Be Kind Community Response Award
Overview
Earlier this year partners came together to recognise the unsung heroes who contribute to making Whitmore Reans and the surrounding area a positive place to live by giving out awards celebrating everything from being a good neighbour, promoting community spirit, being an eco-warrior or inspiring others.
In recognition of how the local community has responded to COVID-19 the Council’s Community Safety Team is now launching a new award. The Stay Safe Be Kind Community Response Award will recognise an individual or group who has taken action since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to support their neighbours, local community, or vulnerable people in Whitmore Reans and the surrounding area. This can be an activity on a single street or across the whole area, it can be responding to specific needs that have arisen as a direct result of the virus or it can involve actions that have positively promoted community spirit during this challenging period.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 16th October 2020.
*Please note that all nominees must be living, working or actively involved in activity based in Whitmore Reans or the surrounding area*.
