Upgrade of Play Area at Windsor Avenue Playing Fields

Closed 31 May 2019

Opened 13 May 2019

We would like your thoughts on the refurbishment of the existing children’s play area at Windsor Avenue Playing Fields.

Why your views matter

The play area has not been significantly upgraded for many years, however the necessary funds have become available through a “Section 106 agreement” relating to the new residential development on the site of the former Warstones Inn, and are designated specifically for this purpose.

What happens next

Following the consultation period and consideration of any feedback, a formal tending process will be arranged to select a suitable contractor to implement the design and to carry out the refurbishment works in full.

A proposed design of the new play area will be on display at Warstones Library on Leasowes Drive, from Monday 13th May for a period of 3 weeks, which includes the half term holidays.
Some questionnaires will be provided to enable local residents to feedback their views.
