Draft City of Wolverhampton Street Trading Policy

Closed 30 Sep 2022

Opened 8 Jul 2022

Overview

The Draft City of Wolverhampton Street Trading Policy sets out the City’s vision and aims for street trading.

The Policy and updated Street Trading Consent Conditions (located at Appendix C in the Draft Policy) were approved at Regulatory Committee 15 June 2022 and sets the framework for the City Council to administer and regulate street trading, ensuring a consistent approach is taken.

The policy intends to enable the expansion of the street trading offering as footfall in the City increases. It will serve as a reference for consent holders, enforcement officers, other responsible authorities and Regulatory Committee, as to our intended vision and approach to street trading activities in the City.

Why your views matter

The purpose of this consultation is to gain views from various stakeholders and businesses involved in our street trading approach, to ensure our vision and aims are achievable.

We will consider all the responses and amend the proposed policy as appropriate. The updated policy will then be considered by Regulatory Committee on 11 January 2023.
