Polling District Review Consultation 2023

Closed 29 Oct 2023

Opened 2 Oct 2023

Overview

The City of Wolverhampton Council must carry out a statutory review of polling districts and polling places, which will be in line with the new Parliamentary Constituencies.

Each Constituency is divided into polling districts, and each district has a polling place such as a community centre or church. All voters are allocated to a polling district and a polling place. The area inside the polling place is known as the polling station.

The Council invites views of all Wolverhampton residents, particularly those with accessibility requirements to comment on the proposals and Acting Returning Officer Representations. Persons or bodies making representations or comments should, if possible, give alternative places that may be used as polling stations.

Please note that the "All Wards Polling District and Polling Station Proposal" contains the full detail of the ward and polling station changes. The individual ward proposals can be found in the subsequent "Ward Maps" section below.

You can respond to the consultation via this online survey. Alternatively, comments can be sent in the form of a letter to Electoral Services, City of Wolverhampton Council, Civic Centre, St Peters Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1SH or by email to: Electoral.Services@wolverhampton.gov.uk

All responses to the consultation will be published. The final scheme will be reported to Full Council on 6th December 2023 and implemented when the revised register is published on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
