Oval Drive Open Space

We are looking at ways to improve Oval Drive Open Space, and we would like to hear your views.

Your feedback will help us understand what local people value most and will directly inform which improvements are taken forward. Due to budget limitations, it may not be possible to deliver everything, so your priorities are especially important.

We have listed some suggestions and would like to hear which options you consider to be of particular importance. We also welcome any other ideas you may have.

Shrub Beds

  • Replanting and filling the gaps in the existing shrub beds around the site.
  • This will Increase the variety of plant species within the shrub beds to attract a larger range of insects and wildlife, supporting greater biodiversity and creating a more colourful open space.

Play Area

  • Replacement of the existing Roundabout which requires extensive repairs.
  • Removal of the existing spinner pole and installation of an accessible See-Saw.
  • Replacement of the equipment will provide a play area which gives both disabled and non-disabled children the opportunity to play together.

 

 

C

Sculpture

  • Commissioning of a locally themed sculpture which could be a carved tree trunk or other durable material to create a focal point within the site.

 

 

D

Tree Planting

  • Planting of trees to enhance the space and improve biodiversity and climate resilience creating a greener open space.
