Bilston Urban Garden Improvements
Overview
We are planning to improve Bilston Urban Garden and need your help by telling us what you think of our proposed plans. This will help shape what the new garden will look like.
Bilston Urban Garden is on Stafford Street (WV14 0BQ) and leads through to an open square on Church Street. This project is part of the Bilston Health and Regeneration Programme improving health, leisure and community buildings to make Biston a better place to be. It is funded by a government grant and complements the Pride in Place Programme that aims to create a safer, cleaner and vibrant Bilston.
We want to make the garden a nicer place to be. We think it should have colourful flowers and plants that like growing there and will last a long time. We think part of it should be a sensory garden with plants that smell great and are lovely to touch. We also want to improve the paving so it’s better to walk on and have nice benches to sit on and bins for your litter.
We want the garden to be a beautiful place you can use and enjoy on a visit to Bilston, the High Street and its Markets.
How can you help? Take a look at the proposed plan and the artists impressions (view from Church Street and view from Stafford Street) and then answer the questions in the online survey to tell us your opinion. Your feedback will be included when we submit the improvements for planning permission. If this is granted then improvements will start in Spring 2027 and take around 20 weeks to complete.
You can complete the survey anytime between now and Friday 17 April 2026. You may also want to look at our Frequently asked Questions for more information about this project.
