THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BILSTON) (LIME GROVE) (NO LEFT TURN FOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
The City of Wolverhampton Council is undertaking formal consultation regarding a proposed Safer Routes to School Scheme on Green Park Avenue in the vicinity of Stowlawn Primary School. The scheme comprises a proposed one-way traffic system between Wolseley Road and Lime Grove (West to East) along with amended traffic calming, including raised crossing points on Green Park Avenue.
New waiting, loading and prohibition of stopping restrictions in parts of Green Park Avenue, Lime Grove and Green Park Drive are also proposed to support the scheme.
The proposed scheme and restrictions are required to address concerns that have been raised by the school, local Ward Councillors and parents regarding the safety of children on their way to and from school as a result of inappropriate school gate related parking and congestion near to the school.
