Proposed Traffic Calming Measures on Bushbury Road

WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BUSHBURY ROAD) PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES

The Road Safety Team carries out an annual review of local roads, assessing factors such as vehicle speed and volume, collision rates involving injury to a person, and safe system principles. Locations identified as presenting a higher risk to road users are prioritised for safety improvements. 
 
A detailed study of this section of Bushbury Road has identified nine injury collisions in the past five years, two of which resulted in serious injuries. As a result, this location has been prioritised for treatment through the Local Safety Scheme Programme for 2025/26.
