Overview
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BILSTON) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 10) ORDER 2024
Proposed Safer Routes to School Scheme – Ettingshall Road (Manor Primary School)
The City of Wolverhampton Council is undertaking formal consultation on a safer routes to school scheme and proposed waiting, loading, and stopping restrictions in parts of Ettingshall Road, Foster Avenue and Shaw Road.
Details of the safer routes to school scheme can be seen on the traffic calming plans and the area of proposed waiting, loading, and stopping restrictions are identified on the TRO plan.
The proposed restrictions and speed cushions (with informal pedestrian crossing points) are part of the Safer Routes to School Programme for 2024-25 and are required to improve safety for both children and parents by ensuring that sections of the highway are kept free from parked vehicles. Slower vehicle speeds will also be encouraged with the introduction of traffic calming measures in the vicinity of Manor Primary School.
