Overview
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BILSTON) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 6) ORDER 2024
Proposed Safer Routes to School Scheme – Hickman Avenue (Holy Rosary Catholic Primary Academy)
The City of Wolverhampton Council is undertaking formal consultation on a safer route to school scheme and proposed waiting, loading and prohibition of stopping restrictions in parts of Hickman Avenue.
The proposed restrictions and buildouts are part of the Safer Routes to School Programme for 2024-25 and are required to improve safety for both children and parents by ensuring that sections of the highway are kept free from parked vehicles. Slower vehicles speeds will also be encouraged with the introduction of traffic calming measures in the vicinity of Holy Rosary Catholic Primary Academy.
