Pre-determined Street Trading Consent Locations
Overview
The City of Wolverhampton Council are presently consulting on the review of the street trading provision. This includes a draft Street Trading Policy and updated Street Trading Consent Conditions. The draft policy was approved for consultation at Regulatory Committee on 15 June 2022 and aims to set the framework for the City Council to administer and regulate street trading, ensuring a consistent approach is taken.
Part of the review of Wolverhampton’s Street Trading provision is to also propose seven new, pre-determined City Centre consent locations. These locations have been identified as a result of the Public Realm City Centre redevelopment and aim to provide existing or new street traders the opportunity to apply to trade from pre-determined locations as footfall in the City increases.
Why your views matter
The purpose of this consultation is to gain views from various stakeholders and businesses who may be affected by these pre-determined consent locations.
We will consider all the responses and the pre-determined locations shall be approved by the City of Wolverhampton Council as appropriate.
