Overview
The Council would like your opinions on the future of Longford Road Open Space, as part of the Ellerton Walk redevelopment programme. We are seeking your views on the proposal to acquire Longford Road open space to facilitate much needed affordable housing for rent.
Why your views matter

Heath Town Park and other open spaces in your local area have benefited from significant investment in recent years. The Council would therefore like to replace Longford Road Open Space with new homes for rent. As part of the proposals for the site, the Council will also be looking at providing more parking bays for residents on the verge opposite the site. This will help alleviate car parking issues in the local area. If this development takes place the Council will be able to fund further improvements to Heath Town Park. Development on Longford Road Open Space would create much needed high quality new homes and would form part of Phase 1 Newbuild for the Ellerton Walk Redevelopment Scheme. |
What happens next
The results of the consultation will be fed back to residents in the Ellerton Walk Redevelopment Newsletter – No 2 - Winter Edition 2021.
