Proposed Changes to St Michael’s CE (A) Primary School

Overview

The City of Wolverhampton Council proposes that with effect from 1 January 2022, a 16-place resource base for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties is established at St Michael’s CE (A) Primary School.

Pre-publication Consultation on the proposed prescribed alteration ran from 14 September 2020 until 12 October 2020.

The Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, in consultation with the Director of Education, recently reviewed the outcome of Pre-publication Consultation and approved progression to a period of Representation regarding the proposed prescribed alteration to St Michael’s CE (A) Primary School.

Representation commenced on 1 December 2020 and concludes on 11 January 2021. In accordance with School Organisation Regulations, a Statutory Notice and Complete Proposal have been published (please see supporting documents).

We welcome stakeholders’ comments on the proposal. Any responses received will be considered by the Cabinet of the Council on 20 January 2021, when a final decision on the proposed prescribed alteration will be made.
