Overview
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (PENN) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 4) ORDER 2026
WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (LYNDHURST ROAD) PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
The proposed waiting restrictions are required in parts of Lyndhurst Road and Penn Road to help improve visibility for all road users, including child pedestrians making their way to and from The Royal School, by preventing vehicles from waiting in inappropriate locations.
The proposed restrictions also form part of the highway measures associated with the planning permission for the redevelopment and expansion of The Royal School. The proposed TRO will help to maintain highway safety, improve visibility, and support safer access to and from the school for residents, pupils, parents and other road users.
The proposed traffic calming measures are required in parts of Lyndhurst Road to help reduce the speed of all types of vehicles travelling along Lyndhurst Road. These also form part of the highway measures associated with the planning permission for the redevelopment and expansion of The Royal School.
