Engagement with users of the Council’s sign language interpretation service

Closes 4 Oct 2019

Opened 27 Aug 2019

Overview

City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking the views of people who use the Council’s sign language interpretation service provided by DA Languages. The Council’s contract with DA Languages ends on 4 February 2020 but can be extended for a year until 4 February 2021. The views obtained will help inform the Council’s decision on whether the contract extension is awarded and the new contract when it is tendered.

Two engagement events will be carried out on 16 September 2019 at the Civic Centre, Wolverhampton. The morning event will start at 10.30 am and end at noon. The evening event will start at 5.30 pm and end at 7.00 pm. Both sessions will begin with a short presentation followed by engagement questions and discussion. Sign language interpretation and a loop induction system will be provided. Please bring your mobile phone as you may use it to respond to some of the questions.

Please kindly note that you will not be able to attend these events without registering. The Council reserves the right to cancel one or both events if an insufficient number of people have registered.

You can also give your views by completing an on-line questionnaire using the link below.
