Proposed Waiting and Loading Restriction on Wood Street

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BILSTON) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 3) ORDER 2026

The City of Wolverhampton Council is undertaking formal consultation regarding proposed waiting restrictions to parts of Wood Street (Bilston) and Black Country Route.

The proposed changes are required on parts of Wood Street (Bilston) and Black Country Route to prevent parking that would obstruct access for larger vehicles, including access to the market traders’ car park which works have recently been completed, and to ensure the provision of appropriate loading and unloading facilities for vehicles serving nearby businesses.
