Overview
Changes to Vehicular Access Arrangements as part of the ongoing public realm improvement programme including changes to road layout for Vehicle, Cycle and Pedestrian Areas, City Centre Wolverhampton.
As part of the on-going wider public realm improvements in the City Centre and the continued recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, City of Wolverhampton Council are proposing a number of changes to road layout, changes of use, access arrangements and times of operation which affects, a number of roads to the west of the main shopping centre as follows:
The formation of Pedestrian and Cycle facilities in the Victoria Street area.
Revised vehicular access points into the proposed pedstrianised area, including the introduction of access control barriers at a number of locations.
Revisions to permitted vehicular access times to be in line with other areas of the City Centre.
Changed directions of traffic flow on Clevland Passage, Bell Street, Salop Street Skinner Street and Victoria Street.
Changes to access arrangements to Bell Street and Victoria Street.
The introduction of traffic calming features on Salop Street and Victoria Street.
